Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc (CADASI) serves survivors of domestic abuse in Winnebago and Green Lake Counties.
Emergency Shelter - Temporary housing for individuals and families who are in imminent danger due to domestic abuse. While in shelter all basic needs (e.g. food, clothing, baby supplies) are provided so clients can de-escalate from crisis and focus on next steps. Survivors can meet with an Advocate for emotional support, safety planning, domestic abuse education, connections to resources, and more. Children in shelter can also meet with an Advocate to discuss safety, healthy relationships, and coping skills. We shelter about 250-290 adults and children each year.
24/7 Hotline - Crisis Advocates are available around the clock to provide information, resources, assessments, and more to survivors, loved ones, law enforcement, and other service providers. We receive about 2,000-3,000 hotline calls annually.
Empowerment Advocacy - Services for survivors who are not staying in shelter such as emotional support, safety planning, domestic abuse education, legal advocacy, connections to resources, and more. We serve about 625 adults each year.
Youth Services - We work with youth who have witnessed and/or experienced domestic abuse and/or dating violence to help them process trauma, learn about healthy relationships, and develop healthy coping skills. This prevents the cycle of abuse from repeating. We work with about 150 youth each year.
Community Education - Prevention education presentations to schools, businesses, organizations, and faith communities to help them understand the warning signs of abuse and how to help someone. Prior to covid, we presented to thousands of community members annually.
